Canaries fans view on Leicester..

Just read this, honest intelligent and accurate view of last nights game from the Norwich forum...
I've just highlighted this bit, as I actually liked Wagner's tactics in the first half. We saw Leicester's quality throughout the match, how comfortable they were in possession and playing out from the back. They knew we played a high-pressing style, and were actively trying to suck us in with the press so we left gaps for them to play through, but we didn't bite.

There were lots of interesting little tactical tweaks from Wagner throughout the match; firstly, Gibbs playing a lot further forward than you might expect, at points he was leading the line while Barnes dropped into midfield. Also, Kenny dropped into the back four to 'sweep' regularly, and Gibson spent some time playing ahead of the back four trying to press in the back of midfield. Sara split his time between collecting the ball very deep, and then pushing forward to try and execute creative passes in the final third.

The strength of Leicester's squad is just ridiculous for this level, and over 90 minutes we matched them in and out of possession. The only difference was one rash foul by Fassnacht, and then a well-executed counter in the last five minutes when we were pushing hard for an equaliser.

If we'd have taken the game to them and played with high intensity in the first half, they'd most likely have played through us and scored a goal or two, and then picked us off at leisure as we tired near the end. It's encouraging that we can go toe-to-toe with teams of this quality, but this season will be defined by our ability to create and take chances against the more pedestrian sides in the division. Plymouth on Saturday will be a much better barometer of our chances this season.

Oops, how can the manager survive?
You can pick all the nuanced bones out of a match but sometimes you just need a word.
Shambles?
