Callum Davidson

Met him (and Muzzy) in HK in 2002 when they were both there warming up with their respective nations before the WC in Japan. Really pleasant, easy-going sort of chap and very happy to chat away with a load of (slightly piddly) footy fans of various teams. Always liked him after that.


(admittedly not the most exciting football anecdote...but he left a mark as one of the nicer football people I have met. Well done him for yesterday)
 
Thanks for this Oxon. I had almost forgotten him, shame he will tend to be defined as a result of the Dennis Wise incident (I loved someone saying that Wise should have the "Biggest C" award).

I Googled CD and came up with a very interesting Scottish article from last weekend. Obviously very bright as he studied Civil Engineering at University and highly regarded by those like Eggs who had dealings with him. One to watch, along with Potter from Brighton who has a similar unconventional background.
 
Apparently he is/was a very very good tennis player, golfer , squash player as well as a footballer.
Congratulations on doing the cup double.
