Brexit

The market in precious metals is well regulated but the margin (between buying and selling) is quite high. Difficult to make much profit in the short term. Long term investment really, particularly in difficult (financial) times.

Coins are good, vat and CGC free if they are legal tender. Sovereigns for example.

If it were possible, a container load of AR15s and plenty of ammo would be a worthwhile investment. ;)

I can only see the survival of some form of financial system. There can be no other outcome.

Buying precious metals low and selling them high for a profit, is the best outcome from any coming financial crisis.
Like AFC mine is physical. If you were going for it big time you also need to stockpile tinned food water and a few firearms. Fiat currency is worthless apart from the trust that people put in it. If people lose trust (super inflation) then it becomes worthless. Precious metals will always hold some value.
Did you know a month into this covid stuff silver price dropped to under £10 an ounce. It then rose to £22 plus an ounce. It has now steadied around £18 an ounce. I believe it will hit £40 an ounce within 12 months.

I am putting my money in Spam. Currently £2.25 for 500grm tin...they'll be on ebay for 50 quid a tin when the shit hits the fan.

Forgive a little levity - but the way you are discussing essentially hiding gold/silver under the pillow is post-apocalypse stuff. If this is the case, forget precious metals, us normal folk will be fighting over grass and cardboard.

Watch Izal make a comeback in the post-soft-bog-roll world....we've had it too good for too (soft, strong and very very) long...

Your last paragraph applies to any work market Think of the big US companies no unions very limited employment rights
Its capitalism the majority of people want a good product for next to nothing No matter how that product is produced
You don't ask the price of anything if your rich because you can afford it anyway
Without a single exception, the tightest people I know are the wealthiest. The wealthier they are, the tighter they are.

I just ate my investment for lunch ....

Talks back on so looks like he will be selling out, they must think we are stupid?
Of course they think we are stupid, we are!

The continued support from the electorate for the LibLabCon proves that, as indeed does falling for the Covid con.

The deal has I think been done, some time ago in fact. The Government will cave to everything the EU really want whilst tossing us a few scraps and telling us what a great deal we are getting, we will be tied to all the rules enforced by the the ECJ, effectively the enforcement arm of the Fourth Reich.

We will of course have no say in the EU as we will not be a 'full member' but a vassal state. Rules will be applied to us that, strangely, do not apply to Germany and France (for 'reasons'), we will be looted blind, fully punished for resisting the EU project.

Anyone know how much of the NHS is privatised already in percentage terms?
As it would only need 51% to become privatised

GPs and Pharmacies are effectively private entities.

Around 22% of the healthcare budget goes to private providers. This will increase further...

Stay away from sharp objects
Funny you should say that, I am a 'bleeder' so that is second nature.

It needs to be broken apart, if anything needs to be 'built back better', it is that appalling organisation.

I have had some interesting experiences of the health service over the last 4 years. I might do an article or start a thread.

There is wanting your cake and eating it.

We have left the EU as you wanted.

How exactly does that make us part of the "Fourth Reich" or do you prefer EUSSR?
