Pep in a preview of the Champions league game v Dortmund

“I will not find one single play from Borussia Dortmund without quality,” said Guardiola. “They have spent a lot of money on young players and pay a lot of money to agents to bring these players there.

I do hope they can prevail over those unfair over spenders, poor things...

It’s all mind games. I expect Man City to win as Dortmund are currently outside of the top 4 and that is of greater priority than them going deeper into the Champions League.

It’s a shame as both sides at full tilt would have been interesting.

I find Guardiola the most obnoxious of all the managers. Klopp doesn’t come close yet he is the subject of most hatred.
Guardiola's surly and ungracious interview after the 5-2 said it all. Easy to be all smiles and bonhomie when your expensively assembled team is winning. It takes class to recognise that in defeat you were second best tactically as a manager and that the other team was better on the day. By all means blame your players for giving away silly penalties but at least acknowledge what your opponents did well, rather than churlishly moan about their (successful) tactics.

I don't think you get it. The chips on shoulders are at full weight at the moment i see.

He's referring directly to Haalands agent. Directly. Nothing else. It follows a series of comments with the agent whom he has an awful relationship with and vice versa. Mino Raiola is by some way the biggest coont in football. Raiola has essentially said that he controls where Haaland goes and if thats the case Man City won't be one of them. Thats all it is.

Raiola is hawking his player around Europe openly which is unusual and may become the way to do things.
Big club managers will never offer praise to lesser funded clubs because that would acknowledge that they exist.
