Gotta love it that the EU's commitment to the sacrosanct "no border of any sort on the Island of Ireland" lasted a whole 28 & a bit days.
 
Its an attempt to cover their incompetence in dealing with the vaccination program. Too many cooks spoil the broth!

EU bastards taking 3 months to make a decision about vaccines then blaming everyone else for their own shortcoming. Holding up negotiations about Brexit with their Ireland demands then proving they’re happy to throw Ireland under the bus when it suits. It’s indefensible Dicky
 
Funny thing is that they stopped EU nations buying something that they wanted to do. That's a downer on freedom.
Took over the buying from the top. That's power grabbing.
Bummed it out big time in ordering. That's the usual fuck up.
Then closed a border without talking to anyone on either side of the border. Power mad, authoritarian.
Didn't discuss with EU partners. Power mad, authoritarian.
Caved in once everyone woke up and realised what they'd done. Nasty as usual, but weak if everyone stands up to it.

All you lameasses making excuses for the leaders of that organisation need to get a reality check.
They don't give a damn about any of the people of Europe. They do give a damn about their power, their organisation and their salaries and pensions.
 
They are shit in a crisis. Big sprawling monolith of an organisation. The only way it can respond to anything, is to consult the representatives of 27 countries, who then discuss it in their parliaments, before announcing a decision. It takes too long! The commision want everyone to seed that power to them. They tried it, and made twats of themselves. They didnt even tell the Paddies ffs!
 
A few sensible countries seemingly just went ahead and bought their own vaccines. But plenty of sheep didn't.

The EU is nothing to do with us now. Good luck to them looking after their own.
 
Sadly, our lily livered government allows the EU to still have a huge say in our affairs, so saying that the the EU is nothing to do with us is, sadly, not remotely true.
