Anyone like the NFL?

He’s a stirring little shit.

Browns never got going with effectively a one dimensional attack.

Got a terrible record against the Steelers but they have been wobbling and are guaranteed top 3 seed.

Dolphins lose, the other four teams on 10-5 win. Only scenario where they'd miss the play-offs. By lose I also mean "got absolutely fucking taken to pieces". Still, number 3 draft pick from Houston is a decent consolation.

You forget how shell-shocked Browns fans are. I texted a buddy (big Browns fan) when the entire receiving corps went out with covid. I got this long rambling message about how the Steelers had a secret plot to let the Browns into the play-offs.. just so they can beat them. I'm thinking, what am I dealing with?

Anyhoo, I'm taking the Browns to cover and win. Spread opened Steelers -4.5 and fell to -4. Allowing 3 points for home field advantage (which doesn't exist this year), that's -1 for the betting public.

Steelers sat starters and Browns had an equal number out with covid, they'll be back.

Steelers are a slightly deeper team but they're in a state of collapse - one win in six, against the Dolts. Average 16-19 points per game.

Big Ben is back, that's the death knell. He's a spent fossil, he can't throw deep, they can't run, he won't run play-action. The only reason he's still in the game is the power he has in that city. The coaching staff is powerless to get rid of him.

The Browns.. will win this game.

Have to say The Bills looked the mustard.
Which is rather worrying for us Bills fans, 25 years of pretty much nothing and now this. In fairness Sean McDermott has built something very good and sweeping the East has been most pleasing, in particular crushing the Dolphins hopes on Sunday.

Now for the most Buffalo thing ever, defeat to the Colts on Saturday night.

I'm an hour from the frontier. I have a Superbowl XXVI tattoo, I got before the game. Keeping my mouth shut otherwise.

Good weekend of action, that and my God did the Bills have me hiding behind the sofa!!! Not felling all that hopeful about the Ravens on Saturday night now.

Have you seen the Ravens Q back, he’s like an extra running back.

Browns beating the Steelers last night was unexpected to say the least.

Well done Bill, the Browns were amazing last night. Watching the first quarter reminded me of the game against the Sheep when we scored four in the opening 15 mins. Great stuff.

Whilst following the Vikings I have an admiration for the Bills as they too, have lost four super bowls. I remember watching Jim Kelly/Thurman Thomas with awe. The head coach, Marv Levy made the most amazing quote whilst stood in freezing snow conditions in Buffalo saying "where else would you rather be than right here right now"

I remember that quote too. I recalled it the day I was stood at OT watching the MON team beat Manyoo.

Losing two playoff finals in successive years (1992 / 1993) is bad enough, but how do you cope with losing four successive Superbowls ?

This might be their year, but Mahomes just looks too good.

Starting to love it! Just came 2nd again in the local bar's pool. 2 years running. $150 and the chance to tell the North Americans that an English football fan knows more about the game than them.......Except the bars not open :(

So whose through this week?

I fancy the Rams over Green Bay, Bills to inch passed the Ravens.

The Browns are oven ready but although the Chiefs haven’t won a game by more than one score since October and have had a fortnight off i think they’ll win.

Buccaneers beat the Saints.

Home advantage matters a lot but you could make a case for any of the eight teams. Difficult to see beyond Packers and the Saints in the NFC, Lambeau Field and the Superdome are tough places to go. Browns have been great recently, but Chiefs have had a week off and have just too many weapons. Bills Ravens is just too close to call, could be the first of many postseason games between these two teams.

A great weekend beckons, particularly if we can watch with three points in the bag v Soton.

Three faves to cover and win:

Packers
Bills
Saints (will smash the Bucs)
Chiefs to win (Browns to cover, -10? that's a bit much)
