But happy?

Firstly, 3 points, beat that shower of baby blue banality, praise the Lord or any other deity.

At times in that game, I thought we’d go the season undefeated, then much of the second half wished I’d gone balls deep in the 66/1 for relegation.

The negatives: Vardy, Ndidi and Vestegaard’s total lack of pace. Also Mark Robin’s (very smart cookie and I wouldn’t have been upset if he’d ended up her) worked out how to make us wobble after 45 minutes.

If they’d won I’m not sure anyone could argue it wasn’t deserved.

The positives: player wise, Winks, Praet, McAteer, Doyle, the last quarter from Iheanacho, KDH and Mavididi.

You can see the clear style of play Enzo wants and when it clicks it great we just need a centre forward who can play it. And if Winks gets injured it’ll fall apart quicker than a Suella Braverman immigration policy.

Last season Man City liked to play with 3 up top - 2 being wide players (Grealish or Foden & Silva or Mahrez)

Enzo played that style today with McAteer & Mavididi as his wide men.

We need another 2 wide men based on 48+ games this season.

Cheer up me ode! Im sure the lad will produce a full duff 90 for you. He really is your new Maddison, isnt he?

Confused is the feeling for sure.
We know his philosophy is possession & the talk coming out regarding vestergaard being someone he favours due to his ball playing skills is admirable.
However, surely a defender’s bread & butter is to be able to defend & vestergaard can’t in anyway shape or form. Plus he’s not any good on the ball anyway.
Another reason why his possession obsession lacks meat is where he is playing ndidi. If he continues to play him there, attack after attack will break down because of ndidi’s total lack of football ability. Praet has to start in his position

Won’t Casadei take that role?

I'm thinking, or maybe hoping that a team will evolve into a team that can play his style. The tweaks improved us, which is good. I would prefer MacAteer play on the left in the same way as Barnes, he looked better on that side. Perhaps Stephy on the right, but first impression is he might be a lazy player, hope not. Agree about N'Diddi, and Vestathing and I'm not sure about Ricardo in todays role.

I'm very please about us winning from behind, something that we'd forgot about, plus winning after being 2nd best. I think we've got a goalkeeper on our hands actually as well.

I’m not at all concerned right now. As Enzo would say, Rome wasn’t built in a day. It’s going to take a minimum of 15 games IMO for them to even start to gel. Also we’ve no idea who’ll be here long term. Right now every point is a bonus. It’s not about the winning it’s about evolving. I’m positive. But to get 3 points from that when with less than 15 mins to got nothing was excellent.
Viva Enzo

I would like us to start Nacho in games, once we know whos staying and whos going and whos coming in i will be happy for the transfer window to shut and get going.

What gives you the impression that Mavididi may be lazy?

Looked like EM was picking a starting eleven to minimise the number of players who won't be here beyond September.

I thought Mavididi did ok, dont know what sort of preseason he has had but can only get better once settled in.

The club didn't have a great pre season tbh so I think enzos playing around with the set up....I still think a couple more players will come in too.
