I think The Simpsons dealt with this in 'Marge vs the Monorail'. The Music Man would be too obscure a reference.
 
It's a terrible idea.
Essential services should be many miles away from where you live and really difficult to access.
 
Wouldn't introducing or amending responsible zoning bylaws solve this problem? Or is that too simple? Turning over the national treasury to first year urban planning students so they can play mad-scientist seems a bit extreme.

Lockdown wasn’t permanent , people aren’t keeling over from vaccines , Trump lost , all Ukrainians aren’t Nazis and The Queen wasn’t a lizard . I guess the intellectually challenged and lonely have to find another load of old bollocks to feel Life is worth living for them .

Lockdown happened and caused incredible damage.
People have suffered because of vaccines.
Biden has been a success with inflation, oil shortages, handing over weapons to Taliban, open borders, war in Ukraine.
Yeah like, nobody ever heard of Biden mixing it in Ukraine.
