Germany to limit AstraZeneca jab to under-65s

Seems to be easily explained by the lower recruitment numbers to trials of the over 65s; mainly due to shielding.

So there is little data as yet on the efficacy, among the older age groups.

Don't shoot me. I'm not a vaccine fan. Just trying to guess what might have happened...

a very german decision. data informs all their decision making, and there is a lack of data.

Do German football clubs (usually) recruit from mainly on data, a la Brentford, Norwich, etc?
(Clearly someone's taken a short-cut with Demarai 'no significant strengths' Gray...)

i work with germans every single day, and in my experience that statement is not in the slightest bit racist.

but feel free to label me.

I see a poor 48 year old Covid denier has died alone at home . He boasted on line about meeting and hugging firiends , not wearing a face covering , going around as normal . His last tweet was a shared one from a member of the London assembly who was encouraging such behaviour . I wonder how many others he infected /killed ?
Question . Who is responsible ? The weak minded sheep who believed what he read on social media or those who radicalised him ?
For any Lawyers out there is there recourse to the Law to prosecute those who spread this murderous nonsense.

That terrible, have you link to this story?

There have been a few deniers who have succumbed to the virus, including a 33-year-old Ukranian fitness 'influencer' who told his followers on social media that covid didn't exist. How do you balance the right to free speech with protecting the public against lies that, if believed, will lead to people dying? I'm not sure I know the answer.

Another anecdotal one but a friend of mine in Essex says their local electrician was a denier. Had a party on NYE, got Covid and died recently.

Feel sorry for the elderly population out there, this disease is still in its infancy and will be cause to a lot of speculation
as to its potency for along time yet also
Those who are trying varying methods to stabilise it and eventually cure.
Data does not cure anything it's only a tool to finding out what we are dealing with

It’s an interesting one . Where does free speech end and responsibility start , particularly for politicians and journalists who give credence to the nonsense and therefore assist in the radicalisation of these poor souls ?
I go back to the WW2 analogy - The mantra then was “careless talk costs lives” .It seems remarkably relevant.

The missus and me went for the vaccine jab this morning in Peterborough, no waiting, staff were brilliant, as were the army doctors and staff there..NHS is brilliant!

My folks get theirs tomorrow. They’re so desperate for life to return to normal they're like children on Christmas Eve.

Mrs H gets hers on Sunday. Apparently as I’m her carer I may get one as well.

I've thought for a while they've been vaccinating the wrong groups if they want to reopen the economy.
If you want to do that you need to vaccinate the people that have the most contact with other people, not the people who have the least.
People who can isolate don't need vaccinating, it's people who can't self isolate that need it.
