Your Ideal Post Covid First Away Day

Mine would be an end of season trip in the sun to Craven Cottage.

A couple in town, a couple down by the river before and after.

Followed by a nice bit of Steak up the Kings Road.

I’ve got a soft spot for London away days £6 single on the rattler from Atherstone.
Greasy spoon outside Euston then down to borough market but Nigel’s would be good like wints says, missing it

We could have the day of all days out at Nigel's for any London away game.
Don't think it will be this season though.

Brighton.
Get there early, yak a few stones on the beach into the sea, blow a few quid on the amusements.
Then up to the lanes for a few pints before & a gander in the shops.
A couple of pints of Harvey's in the ground, then back into town for a couple more & some sit down fish n chips.

No Cow Lager on the way home? You don't know what you're missing, ask Eggs.

Away fans won’t be allowed this season. I do think towards the end of the season some areas will be back to Tier 2 and have a couple of thousand in.

It doesn’t stop people travelling and having a day out though. That is long overdue.

Also the later rounds of the Champions League and Europa League may allow fans almost as test events for the European Championships this summer.

To be able to actually go to a game now, I would happily buy you all a Cow Lager.

(wouldn't drink one meself mind....)

We must do it George at the first possible opportunity, ram the place.
Your right hopefully later this year though

Unless you mean smash the doors down, I feel a packed boozer won’t be allowed until the autumn at the earliest.
No I just mean when we are back to normal I’m not sure when that will be.
I wouldn’t go with reduced capacity or any restrictions.
Hopefully this has made us appreciate our local pubs when they open again

I stupidly/foresightedly booked flights & digs for Gdansk in May

Do not expect any domestic cup/league away games before then so praying for a minor miracle in being allowed to travel to Poland (whoever is playing)

That's totally daft/really adventurous tudor. Where are you flying from and to?

Can I join you me old mate?

Wizzair from Luton-Gdansk May 24th-27th
Will be a few days on the lash in an unknown (to me) city if we make it.
If it should come to pass that we get to the Final and we can be at the match you'll rightly have bragging rights for all eternity :)

...or alternatively a fun packed few days in a city once described as being "like Middlesbrough without the good bits..."

Tudor I have flights booked to Warsaw and an apartment by the coast near Gdańsk booked. It’s 5 miles to the city but only 45 minutes walk to and from the stadium. It’s a straightforward drive or a train ride from Warsaw to Gdańsk and at the time only a £38 loss if I don’t go, the apartment is fully cancellable.

Tickets or not it’ll be a good trip if we get there. I hadn’t given any thought to if I’ll still go if we don’t make the final. I probably wouldn’t however I have been to Warsaw, Posnan and Katowice before but not Gdańsk.

Have been to Gdansk, as someone said, a bit like Middlesbrough. No idea why they picked there, Warsaw, Krakow and Posnan much nicer. About ten years ago I witnessed a confrontation between Lech fans and (I think) fans of Wisla and it was terrifying. Flew with Wizzair, good value and sensible flight times. Hope you get to go.

Booked it back in August when feeling optimistic.
All the hotels in the city centre were block booked, I'm guessing by UEFA & our digs are about 2 miles from the old town.
Looking forward to it, apparently a rejuvenated, vibrant city, that's what it says on the internet 😉
If it's as good as smoggieland I'll be more than happy.
